Pineapple kichadi kerala style




Pineapple kichadi is a dish that is part of the Kerala cuisine of South India. It is prepared from Pineapple. Pineapple kichadi is usually served as part of Onam sadhya.


Ingredients:-


  • pineapple - 100gms
  • green chillies - 2
  • turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
  • salt as required
  • coconut - 1/2
  • cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.
  • litre yogurt - 1/4
  • sugar - 1 tsp



Preparation Method :-



Cut the pineapple into small pieces.

 Boil the pineapple along with green chillies, turmeric powder, salt and little water. When the water has evaporated, remove it from fire.

 Grind the coconut and cumin into a fine paste and mix it with the yogurt and cooked pineapple.

 Splutter mustard seeds, 2 dried red chillies and a few curry leaves in coconut oil, and season the khichdi with it. Adjust salt according to your taste.

Lastly add one tsp. sugar.
